The project involved developing a comprehensive material library featuring experimental, bio-based material recipes and physical samples.
Designed for accessibility in both physical and digital formats, the library serves students and the wider design community.
The work combined UX/UI design, photography, and creative direction, and included the development of a sample storage system inspired by archival methodologies.
A communication strategy was also implemented to foster engagement and build a community around sustainable material innovation.
Today the project continues to evolve at Köln International School of Design, where a new generation of students is working to bring the open-source platform to life, building on the foundation and insights established during the initial phase.
